Fascinator for Women's Professional Network
Thursday, November 21, 2013, the Women's Professional Network of Bellingham held it's annual Raffle Dash. I donated a marine blue, large saucer shaped fascinator with a grey rose and a cream colored wedding fascinator for the event. Here is a picture of the fascinators and the lovely lady who won the blue saucer fascinator.

New hat blocks from England
I recently received 3 new hat blocks from England. They are the very latest styles and I am so anxious to start working with them. They are a pill box, a large saucer and a medium saucer. The large one is like Kate Middleton's "potato chip hat" To see the what the "potato chip hat" looks like see the July 16th post.

Yule Boutique
Assistance League's Yule Boutique was last Saturday, it was well attended and we all had a good time greeting many of our old friends and made some new ones. Every one in the League contributed, lots of beautiful handmade items and lots of baked goods, many volunteered their time to greet, cashier, work the cookie table, manage the kitchen or just be on hand to help. I made 22 rag dolls, chocolate lip balm, soap and a lot of cookies.
Time to get busy on my new spring line. I have 3 brand new hat forms from England and many colors of Sinamay, flowers, ribbon and fabrics. I am sure this year's creations are going to be my best yet.

Dragons
Halloween is just around the corner and I am going to a luncheon where I need to dress in costume. I have decided to dress as the "Dragon Lady". Which to me means dressing in black, wearing creepy make up and wearing Dragons. What did I get myself into? The Dragon pattern I am using is a masterpiece but so very intricate and time consuming I have been making this Dragon for days. Here is a picture of my worktable covered with Dragon parts. If I get the little sucker done I will post his picture.

Wedding fascinators
My wedding fascinators are simply the best
I have been looking through the bridal magazines, on the internet and watching "Say yes to the Dress" and I have not seen anything made in America or imported to America that can hold a candle to my wedding fascinators. I am going to concentrate on making them even better this year and doing some creative marketing. I have started a little early making a custom wedding fascinator for a beautiful young lady who is getting married next summer.
As soon as I have finished with my Yule Boutique commitment, I will get started on my new line for spring and I will give special attention to making the most beautiful, original and upscale wedding fascinators in the world!
Here is a little of what I did last year.
